Fossetts Circus!

This week I went to my first circus! I went to the Fossetts circus near the old shopping centre in Dundalk on wednesday and I have to say I was very impressed. The talent the performers had was endless! They did some things that made my heart jump particularly when they brought out the death sphere and three people entered into it and drove around it on motorcycles, as one slip up and there could of easily been a serious accident.
I wont reveal to much incase people reading this intend to see it, however I will say I was slightly disappointed by the lack of animals in the circus, but then again I'm totally against animal cruelty which is how some of the animals are trained to do their tricks, so it's probaly best they didnt have any.

Web Standards

As the worldwide web has become so popular in recent years, it is important for it to be accessible to everyone particularly those who have difficulty with their hearing, sight, or co- ordination. Web standards were developed with these people in mind, they are a set of standards set up to advise anyone who is creating a website on how to make it more accessible for everyone. Web standards are not compulsory or a form of legislation, but their advise can prove invaluable for companies and help prevent unnecessary lawsuits for discrimination.

My experience of DKIT

My experience in DKIT has been interesting to say the least and four years have gone by pretty quick!!

I first came to DKIT at the tender age of 17, and it has been the place of some of my most memorable experiences. I moved out of my family house in Dublin to Dundalk, got evicted due to a kitchen fire(which i didnt cause!), met my first proper boyfriend, had many nights out in Dundalk, and met some great friends!

My first day in DKIT, I set myself a challenge to introduce myself to as many people as possible, and while I was in the queue at reception to be told where to go for my first class, I turned around and introduced myself to the boy behind me who turned out to be none other then my class and housemate Alan Rooney!!

Shortly after that Matthew from our class moved into the same house as me and one evening in November during a drinking session, he tried to cook chips and accidently set the kitchen on fire!! He was evicted for being a health and safety hazard and I was due to financial reasons.

I can't complain to much as the next house i moved into had five boys in it, one of which turned out to become my first proper boyfriend and now three years down the line we have remained really close friends.

As for the nights out well lets just say they always involve alcohol, boys, dancing, takeaways, late nights and wasting money!!

DKIT has been one big learning experience, and looking back I wouldn't change any of it!
